Use of Internal Links and External Links in Blogging
You must have heard of internal linking in blogging. If you already know this is a good thing But if you do not know, then in this post today, we will learn about internal linking.
1 What is Internal Links
Internal linking means if you have one blog then you can add your your old post links into your new post it's called Internal Linking. In simple word, internal links connect the pages of the same website.
If you are writing a new post, if you have previously written a post related to the same topic, then you can add your old posts link to your new post.
2 How to Add Internal Links
Adding internal links is not hard. The new blogger can also easily add internal links.
First go to Blogger Dashboard.
Click on Create Post (New Post)
Then Write Article...After Clicking on Link Option New Popup will be Open You can see it below image.
There are 2 options in Popup page.
Text to display
Whatever you write on this option will be displayed.
Paste Link
In this option, you have to enter the URL of your old post.
Then click on "Open this link in a new window"
Now click on Apply or Ok button.
Now your internal link is applied in the post.
3 Importance of Internal Links
- Internal linking increases the chances of your post being indexed in Google.
- With the help of internal linking increases views on your posts
- If a new visitor is on your new post, then he is also able to visit your old post through internal linking.
- Because of internal linking the visitor stays on your post for a long time.
- Internal linking makes your post SEO Friendly.
- If a visitor comes to our post and leaves immediately, then our bounce rate increases. Because of this our posts do not rank in Google.
